Suprisingly, even with our own forums, this is not going to work. I'm seeing different perspectives, styles, and sizes of pixel art, and everybody wants to get it into the final game.
THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN IF NOBODY FOLLOWS A STANDARD
I'm recruiting two people to take other peoples ideas and remaking them into what they need to be: Following a standard.
Otherwise, how are we supposed to put a bunch of random(non-animated) art into a game? It will be AWFUL.
SAME THING GOES FOR STORY IDEAS
No standard = no progress.
Start really organizing your ideas into something that can be workable by the artists and programmers.

I'll go with whatever ideas, as long as I'm head battle artist guy.

I say we go with a simple non 3D (Forever SAD D:) pixel style, as it is easiest to copy.
I also have tons of time on my hands... And can remake things.

We also need a standard character size, not too big or they'll take up too much of the screen but not too small either otherwise there won't be enough room for detail. I think characters should be able to fit in a 50x50 box and enemies should be slightly smaller or bigger the most with bosses perhaps being able to fit in a 100x100 box.

Its too disorganized. We need to focus all our work on one thing at a time. First we all need to work together for an idea. Followed by finding a programmer willing to work for us. Then we need to focus everything on to art. Starting with all items, then enemies, then heroes, ect.
Right now we are just randomly blathering and posting art.

You're right, in some cases I think this forum might have actually made things worse, it gave the impression of progress and organization, thus spurring people to submit all sorts of stuff, desperate to get it into the game and disregarding the fact that their style and techniques didn't mesh with anyone else's.

This isn't going to work if we continue as we have. JediDude and Forever, you guys are going to make sense of this mess. Start organizing the ideas and art, and pick the ones that make the most sense or will make the game more fun. Don't decide because you personally like it. I will be making final decisions as to what goes in and what doesn't. For the art, we're going to have to re-make the stuff that gets in into the standard.

Ok, we should stick with my story as it is not complex at all, and does not need more story added into it.
Old legends tell of a land far away... Covered in vast forests and jungles.
The volcano stirred... Along with the many foul demons trapped inside.
7 ancient guardians watched over the forest... And kept the volcano settle.
They went into a deep sleep... Everything was under control...
But they came all at once...
Flames erupted all over the jungle...
All was lost...
Ancient cave paintings... Told a lone warrior his future...
They all made sense now....
He had an instinct... he had to awaken the ancient guardians...
And save the jungle...
*Jungle*
Now we need something simple... For the gameplay. A pixel platformer would be easy to control, right?

Forever - Kong whispers, check them.
As for the gameplay, yeah I'm not too sure about the RPG styled battle system. A platformer can be fun by itself.

Forever - Kong whispers, check them. As for the gameplay, yeah I'm not too sure about the RPG styled battle system. A platformer can be fun by itself. Here's what I'm thinking, and yes I'm turning back into the game concept machine gun, battle is platform based and as the the player rescues more of the "ancient guardians" he gains the ability to switch between them. Each player, including the starting one, have two attacks, one close attack and one ranged attack. Also, each of the "ancient guardians" have a special ability, super jump for instance, that allows them to access areas previously unreachable to the player. Maybe we could also incorporate individual health bars for each character. ANYONE READING THIS POST PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING MESSAGEThe concepts I have just stated are not official as of press time. These ideas are not to be expanded upon in such a way that new artwork or concepts are created under the assumption that they will fit in the final version of the game. I am not responsible for time wasted by anyone who spends time creating artwork or developing concepts based on the ideas stated above without the express approval of said concepts by moony. Even if this concept is selected for approval by either Jedidude of ForeverPixel it is not to be taken seriously as a definite part of the game until moony's approval is given. (I think I spent more time typing up that official looking block of text than the actual concepts XD)

terabyte, you are also going to be in my team. You've got good ideas, and seem to be taking the right approach.
Does eveybody have Skype? This would make it so much easier.

No idea what skype is, but if it's an art program I work better with GIMP
